The state funds large invasive‑grass removal projects. It sends $4.5 million to Sheridan County Weed and Pest, $1.4 million to Teton County Weed and Pest, $883,720 to Fremont County Weed and Pest, and $884,000 to the Game and Fish Commission. The work targets cheatgrass to protect sagebrush habitat and wildlife. Any unspent money returns to the trust income account on June 30, 2029.
Wyoming DOT gets $6.21 million for wildlife overpasses, underpasses, fencing, and road work on Highway 189 near Kemmerer. The Sublette County Conservation District gets $250,000 more for Upper Green Fence II, bringing its total grant to $500,000. These projects cut wildlife–vehicle crashes and help migrations while protecting ranching operations. Any unspent money returns on June 30, 2029.
The law funds four habitat and river projects. It provides $620,000 for Thunder Basin Habitat III, $750,000 for Baggs Valley Headwaters III, $372,000 for Seminoe Shirley Habitat II, and $550,000 for Wapiti Habitat Restoration. Work includes vegetation and riparian fixes, fence changes, invasive control, and stream repairs to aid fish and wildlife. Any unspent money returns on June 30, 2029.
The Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust Board can now pay for the listed large projects using the trust income account. Each recipient must certify it meets the eligibility rules in state law. Any unspent or unobligated funds for each project go back to the income account on June 30, 2029. The law takes effect now.
