End U.S. hostilities with Iran

If adopted by both chambers, this resolution would direct the President, pursuant to the War Powers Resolution, to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities with the Islamic Republic of Iran or its government or military. The removal would cover ground forces in combat or occupation roles and would not apply if Congress declares war or passes a specific authorization for force against Iran. The resolution would also state it does not authorize the use of military force and would not stop the United States from defending itself, keeping defensive troop presences in the region, or leaving forces that are not engaged in hostilities. It would also say nothing in the resolution stops U.S. intelligence, counterintelligence, or investigative activities about threats from Iran or nearby countries, and it would allow the President to share intelligence with partners when he determines that sharing is in U.S. national security interests.
