Claimants get decisions within 270 days

If enacted, the Bureau would have to tell claimants its benefit eligibility decision within 270 calendar days after it receives a claim. This would set a firm notice deadline. It would not change who qualifies or how much money is paid. It would apply only to claims filed under that specific subpart of the law.
