Block new wage rules for federal construction

If enacted, this bill would block the Department of Labor’s final Davis-Bacon rule published August 23, 2023 (88 Fed. Reg. 57526). Federal construction jobs would keep the older prevailing-wage rules. Contractors and subcontractors would avoid new compliance steps from that rule. Some workers could miss out on higher pay or protections the new rule might have provided. The change would take effect upon enactment.
