This bill would treat medical wearables as eligible medical expenses for HSAs, Archer MSAs, Health FSAs, and HRAs. You could count up to $375 per taxable year for qualifying devices, software, and subscriptions. For HSAs and Archer MSAs, the rule would apply to amounts paid after December 31, 2025. For Health FSAs and HRAs, it would apply to expenses incurred after December 31, 2025. A wearable must be worn on the body or used mainly with a wearable and collect health data or help diagnose or treat a health condition. You would need one of these accounts to get the tax break.
