No visa-free entry for Chinese nationals
If enacted, the bill would bar the Secretary of Homeland Security from admitting any national of the People's Republic of China, or anyone holding a passport issued by the People's Republic of China, unless they have a valid visa. It would stop DHS from using any funds to let those nationals participate in the Guam and Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands visa waiver program, including the Economic Vitality & Security Travel Authorization Program, or any program that admits them without a visa. The bill would say words in this section use the usual immigration-law meanings and would treat Hong Kong and Macau as part of the People's Republic of China for these rules. These changes would take effect upon enactment.
