Ban on synthetic 7-hydroxymitragynine

This bill would add 7-hydroxymitragynine and its synthetic equivalents to Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. It would not cover 7-hydroxymitragynine that occurs naturally in the kratom plant (Mitragyna speciosa). If enacted, making, selling, or possessing synthetic 7-hydroxymitragynine would be subject to Schedule I prohibitions. The scheduling would take effect upon enactment.
