Unused COVID relief moved to border wall

If enacted, the bill would create a Southern Border Wall Construction Fund in the Treasury. It would require that all unobligated amounts in the federal Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (sections 602 and 603) be immediately deposited into that Fund. The Department of Homeland Security would be able to use the money to build and maintain physical barriers on the southern border. States and localities would lose any unused relief money they could have spent on local needs.
