HR9156119th Congress

Tiananmen Square Memorial Act of 2026

Sponsored By: Representative Ogles, Andrew [R-TN-5]

Introduced

Summary

Tiananmen Square Memorial Boulevard designation would rename the stretch of International Place NW between 3501 and 3507 International Place NW in Washington, D.C. as Tiananmen Square Memorial Boulevard and change the address 3505 International Place NW to 1 Tiananmen Square Memorial Boulevard. It would direct the General Services Administration to install signs that read Tiananmen Square Memorial Boulevard, match D.C. Metro station sign design, on the nearest federal parcel and at the corners of International Drive NW with Van Ness Street NW and International Drive NW with International Place NW, and it makes the new names the ones used in U.S. laws, maps, and records.
