Summary

Carolina Hurricanes' 2026 Stanley Cup Championship is the focus of this resolution, which would congratulate the team and recognize its on-ice achievements and community contributions. It notes the June 14, 2026 3-0 Game 6 win over the Las Vegas Golden Knights for the franchise's first Cup in 20 years, a playoff run that included sweeps of Ottawa and Philadelphia and wins over Montreal and Vegas, a 53-win season with 291 goals, an estimated $13.4 million local economic boost from Lenovo Center home games, a nearly 200,000-person victory parade, and the team's support for veterans and youth hockey programs.
