Annual birthday switching for Medicare supplement plans

Beginning May 7, 2025, Utah Medicare supplement enrollees can switch plans once yearly during the 60 days starting on their birthday. The new plan must be comparable to or lower tier than their current plan and offered by the same insurer. The insurer cannot deny this switch based on the enrollee’s health. This right does not cover switching insurers or moving to a higher-tier plan.
