Introduced
Summary
National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month would be designated for February 2025 to boost awareness and prevention of teen dating violence. The bill would define teen dating violence to include physical violence, sexual violence, psychological aggression, and stalking and would call out technology-facilitated abuse like cyber extortion, cyberstalking, and doxing. It would urge schools, parents, law enforcement, and community groups to run prevention programs and cites that about 28.1% of teens in relationships faced digital dating abuse and 44.3% experienced at least one form of violence.
