AN ACT relating to health care; requiring certain health facilities and providers of health care to provide qualified sign language interpreters to certain persons who are deaf or hard of hearing; prescribing the circumstances under which such qualified sign language interpreters may be provided remotely; establishing requirements for providing remotely such qualified sign language interpreters; requiring the Department of Health and Human Services to maintain a list of certain facilities that provide services specialized to persons who are deaf or hard of hearing; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to health care; prohibiting a hospital or psychiatric hospital from employing a physician under certain circumstances; providing penalties for a violation of such prohibition; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to education; revising provisions governing the submission of data and metrics on the performance and progress of pupils; revising provisions governing the automated system of accountability information for Nevada; requiring the Commission on Innovation and Excellence in Education to review and make recommendations concerning reports on pupil achievement and the financial accountability of school districts; requiring the Commission to create a framework for such reports and collaborate with the Department of Education to create a centralized repository of such reports; revising requirements for publishing a list of expenditures of county school districts; revising provisions governing the ratios of pupils to licensed teachers; removing the requirement for a school district to prepare a summary of certain fiscal reports; repealing the requirement for the Department to recommend a minimum amount to be spent by public schools on textbooks and other instructional supplies; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to governmental administration; prohibiting the governing body of certain counties and cities from taking certain actions to prohibit the use of cooling towers which use water for certain projects; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to education; authorizing the Board of Trustees of the Washoe County School District to establish and administer a pilot program during the 2025-2026 school year to use an alternative assessment to assess the literacy of pupils enrolled in an elementary school if the alternative assessment satisfies certain criteria; requiring the Department of Education to award a grant to the Washoe County School District in an amount equal to the savings to the Department for not administering the statewide assessment to pupils enrolled in the School District; requiring a report concerning the program to be submitted to the Department and the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Education; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to controlled substances; creating the Alternative Therapy Pilot Program; requiring the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services to administer and adopt certain regulations governing the Program; authorizing and requiring the Division to take certain actions with respect to the Program; requiring the Division to authorize at least one person to cultivate, manufacture or produce psychedelic substances for use in the Program; requiring the Division to submit to the Legislature an annual report concerning the Program; requiring the Division to establish an advisory committee with certain duties relating to the Program; prohibiting certain causes of action from being brought against the Department, its officers or employees relating to the Program; providing immunity from civil, criminal and administrative liability to a participant in the Program for certain conduct relating to the Program; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to health care; revising provisions concerning medical certificates of death of persons who self-administer a medication that is designed to end the life of the person; authorizing a physician or advanced practice registered nurse to prescribe a medication that is designed to end the life of a patient under certain circumstances; prohibiting persons other than a patient from administering a medication that is designed to end the life of the patient; imposing requirements relating to the medical records of a patient who requests a medication that is designed to end the life of the patient; providing immunity to certain providers of health care and health care facilities for certain actions relating to prescribing or dispensing a medication that is designed to end the life of a patient; authorizing the owner or operator of a health care facility to prohibit the provision of certain services relating to a medication that is designed to end the life of a patient; prohibiting a person from including certain provisions in a will, contract, agreement or policy of life insurance; prohibiting certain actions on a policy of life insurance because the insured requested or revoked a request for a medication that is designed to end the life of the insured; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to periods of observance; designating the month of March of each year as “Women Veterans History Month” in this State; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to housing; prohibiting a landlord from refusing to rent a dwelling to a corporation that rents a dwelling on behalf of a person with a disability solely because the corporation provides assistance in obtaining housing to a person with a disability; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to mental health; revising the duties of the Commission on Behavioral Health; creating the Office of Children's Mental and Behavioral Health within the Office of the Director of the Department of Health and Human Services; requiring certain entities to coordinate with and submit certain documents to the Office; establishing the powers and duties of the Office; providing for the appointment of a Director of the Office; eliminating the subcommittee on the mental health of children of the Commission on Behavioral Health; requiring the Office to take certain steps toward the establishment of a Children's Behavioral Health Center of Excellence; making appropriations; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to insurance; requiring certain health insurance to include coverage for the screening, assessment and diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities and specific learning disabilities for certain persons; establishing certain administrative sanctions for failure to provide such coverage; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to offenders; revising the definition of the term “violent or sexual offense” for the purpose of certain provisions of existing law; requiring certain defendants to be certified as not representing a high risk to reoffend before the court may grant probation to or suspend the sentence of the defendant; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
